The clan's most famous leader was Sir John Stewart of Appin, who was a staunch supporter of King James VII of Scotland during the Glorious Revolution of 1688. Sir John played a pivotal role in the Jacobite uprising of 1715, and his descendants continued to be active in Scottish politics and military affairs throughout the 18th and 19th centuries.

how ordering trews works
Choose a tartan. We have over 250 available. Take some simple measurements. If you don't have a tape measure, order a tartan sample and measuring pack. This includes a measuring guide and a tape.

Place your order and after checkout, email us with your measurements. Make sure to include your order number.
Sit back and relax. Once you receive your trews, if you need any adjustments, we can reimburse the cost of alterations.
